First Grade Weekly Homework
Homework Routine:
Homework starts September 6th
Monday: Homework folder and Poetry Notebook go home. Read 15 minutes. Do what you can in Homework packet.
Tuesday: Return Poetry Notebook. Read 15 minutes. Do what you can in Homework packet.
Wednesday: Read 15 minutes. Do what you can in Homework packet.
Thursday: Read 15 minutes. Finish as much in Homework packet as possible.
Friday: Homework folder is due with completed math pages, spelling activities (3) and one journal entry. Reading log filled out.
Homework Packet will include:
*Reading Log: sign once per 15 minutes/day
*Spelling Menu: chose 3 activities, sign signature page and list activities done
*Math pages
*Journal for the month: do 1 page per week
Challenge Spelling Words: apple community
These are two words your child may practice for the test on Friday if the list is too easy for them. Sight words and spelling words will get progressively harder.
