Homework
Homework reinforces what is learned at school and instills good work habits. Concepts are taught in class and homework assignments for the night are reviewed before the students leave for the day. Students should always know the directions of their assignments when working on them at home.
Children should work on written homework for 30-45 minutes each night, Monday through Thursday. They should also read for 20-30 minutes each night. If homework (not counting nightly reading) takes more than 45 minutes, please contact me to determine a solution.
Our class does not have homework on weekends, so that students have time to spend with family and friends.
If you feel that your child is spending too much or too little time on their assignments, please let me know so I can work with your child toward a solution. Please work with your child to stay on top of long-term projects.
